The Trinity Tigers defeated The Oakridge Owls in the season opener 40-21. The win marked the first time Trinity has defeated Oakridge in the last 4 attempts. The offense was led by senior running back Justin Deboskie who ran for 254 yards and 3 touchdowns on 16 carries. The Tiger defense was strong all night. Senior Cornerback Trent Chambers had 2 interceptions. Senior Kicker Erick Carrasco kicked a 50 yard field goal to break the school record previously held by Ring of Honor inductee Kenny Roseman. With the win, the Tigers start the season 1-0 and will take on McKinney Christian at Charles Baldwin Stadium on Friday at 7:30.
